How to determine the machining allowance of WEDM? WEDM is a common machining method. There are three methods to determine the machining allowance of WEDM.
1. Look-up table correction method: that is, statistical method, which records and counts the data of blank surplus and process surplus. When determining the machining allowance, obtain the required data, and then modify it according to the actual machining situation. When checking the data, it should be noted that the data is nominal, the machining allowance of symmetric surfaces (shaft holes, etc.) is bilateral allowance, and the machining allowance of asymmetric surfaces is unilateral allowance.
2. Empirical estimation method: determine machining allowance according to experience. The disadvantage is that the deviation is large, so it is not suitable for mass production.
3. Analytical calculation method: according to the calculation and data of machined parts allowance, this method can determine the allowance of machined parts, but there must be sufficient test data, which is very strict with data.
When determining the machining allowance of WEDM, the total machining allowance and the process machining allowance must be separated. The total machining allowance is related to the machining accuracy of the selected blank. When determining the machining allowance of the process by the look-up table correction method, the machining allowance of the rough machining process can be directly used (total machining allowance-each process allowance). At the same time, the obtained machining allowance of the rough machining process is analyzed. If it is small, the total machining allowance should be increased. If so, the total machining allowance should be appropriately reduced.
